MEET MANDY

YOUR ORGANIZING ARTIST

Mandy Pinkston has been organizing homes throughout Denver metro since 2009. She is a Nebraska native and studied commercial art and business administration at Concordia University in Seward, Nebraska. Mandy worked in direct sales for 7 years, calling on thousands of households in 5 different states. Mandy and her husband Willie moved to northwest Denver in 2007. She worked in the real estate industry and as an executive and household assistant for multiple clients. In 2009 Mandy co-founded Major Mom, a professional organizing company that served hundreds of clients throughout Colorado and was featured on Shark Tank in 2014. She also helped develop Major Mom Academy, a training program for professional organizers.  Mandy built Major Mom for nearly a decade before selling her shares of the business to take time away from work to raise her children. When her youngest started kindergarten in 2022, Mandy launched Open Spaces Organizing Services, a boutique organizing firm that primarily serves families in and around northwest Denver, Wheat Ridge, Lakewood, Golden, and Arvada.

Hi, I'm Mandy.

I truly feel my work is an art--there is not one method or solution that works for everyone. The art is getting to know you and purposefully working to develop spaces that support who you are and how you think and work. My understanding of you helps me produce results you'll love. To give you an understanding of me, please read below to see if you feel I would be a good fit for the experience you're seeking.

CREATIVE SOLUTIONS EXPERT

I love developing a vision for a space and making it a reality. My primary goal is to create functional spaces that support your lifestyle. Although I am not an interior designer, I bring a lot of artistic strength and aesthetic beauty to your spaces through the principles of design: movement, balance, proportion, rhythm, pattern, contrast, and more.

OBJECTIVE PROBLEM SOLVER

"Is this the worst you have ever seen?" Oh, the number of times I have heard that question accompanied by a worried look on the brink of embarrassment or shame. Truly, I have visited thousands of homes throughout my selling and organizing years and have experienced the full range of how a home can look. What I have learned is we all have underlying stories. It's the caregiver who doesn't have time to invest into her own home, the mom who is always on the go, the couple who has struggled finding systems that work for both individuals, the magazine worthy home with chaos behind the cabinet and closet doors. I am there without judgement, to learn your story and devise solutions.

CALM COACH

The organizing process can be overwhelming and chaotic. I have a calm and controlled demeanor and work through the process in a way to minimize the amount of stress or anxiety on you and your household. Perhaps you have a plan and need someone there to keep you focused. If you feel stuck or don't have the capacity to undertake the project on your own, I will guide and complete the process, bringing you in for manageable increments.

MASTER OF SPATIAL EFFICIENCY

This is the title my husband laughingly gave me as I packed our family of 4, our dog, and all of our cooking, sleeping, baby gear, and activities into our Outback for a camping trip. Small spaces offer an intriguing challenge. If you live in a small space and need to maximize every inch, I've got you covered. My family and I lived in 1270 square feet for 17 years. I've mastered solutions maximizing small spaces. If you don't subscribe to the minimalist mindset, I'm still here for you! You can have a lot of stuff and still master spatial efficiency.

QUICK RESULTS

I work quickly, staying focused on the task and managing the process in the most efficient ways possible. That said, I adjust my pace to match the pace you are comfortable with. There are moments you need time to process or reflect. You won't be rushed to make decisions you aren't ready to make. I will not tell you what you must get rid of, but I will give guidance based on the goals we discussed.

RESOURCEFUL

I grew up in a household where we made do with what we had. This taught me the valuable skill of being creatively resourceful. Call it frugal, thrifty, creative, or ingenuity--I thoroughly enjoy repurposing furniture, containers, or other household goods that clients already have in new ways. Are you ready to invest in new furniture and storage solutions? Let's talk through your parameters, budget, and preferences, and we'll find you the perfect pieces that will be both beautiful and functional. Oh, and speaking of resourceful-- all those unwanted items you are ready to let go of at the end of each session: I take those to donation centers or find them new homes. The clutter is ready to move out!
